Who we are

Itqan is a management platform for Quran schools operated by Samaa Dev. Schools use it to record their students' attendance and memorization; teachers use the Itqan Teacher app to record sessions; parents/guardians use the Itqan Guardian app to follow their children. The school is responsible for the data it enters; we process it on the school's behalf solely to provide the service.

Data we collect

• Account data: name, phone number (guardians), email (teacher-device and manager accounts), PIN or password (stored hashed, never recoverable).
• Student data entered by the school: name, group, attendance, memorization results, teacher notes, and fee status if enabled by the school.
• Technical data: push-notification token (only to deliver notifications) and short-lived security/error logs.

We do not collect location, contacts, photos or files from your device, and we use no advertising or ad-tracking SDKs.

How we use data

To provide the service (session recording, showing children's attendance and progress to their guardians, school reports), to send service notifications according to your preferences, and to secure accounts. We never sell data or share it for marketing.

Sharing

Only with your school within your role (guardians see only their own children; teachers see only their groups), with technical providers required to operate the service (server hosting; Google Firebase Cloud Messaging for notifications), or when required by law.

Security and retention

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS); passwords and PINs are stored hashed. Data is kept while the school's account is active; backups are automatically deleted after 14 days.

Children

The apps are intended for adult teachers and guardians, not for children. Student data is entered by the school and shown only to the student's guardians.
